H-Index

First proposed by Hirsch, a physicist from the University of California, San Diego. Hirsch is based on the number of publications of a researcher (department, organisation) and the number of their citations. For example, a scientist has a Hirsch index equal to “h” if the “h” of his “N” articles are cited at least “h” times each.
